Bar and Restaurant Pest Control
Boo specializes in Restaurant Pest Control and Extermination.
It comes as no surprise that, restaurants – from fast food to white table cloth establishments – are natural magnets for pests. These outlets provide easy access to an abundance of food sources in a temperature-controlled environment, which is ideal for pests to thrive in. While a number of species can be problematic in food service settings, rodents, cockroaches, flies, and pantry pests tend to be of the utmost concern for restaurant owners and operators. And, with good reason, as an infestation can result in food contamination, fines from health departments, customers freaking out in your shop, and temporary or permanent closure, in the most severe cases.
You choose how often you want treatment to take place in your business or center. This includes our integrated pest control management as well as our specialized sanitation and disinfecting services. Our flexible approach including “on-demand retreatment” is designed to fit into your needs as we all respond to the evolving requirements for disinfecting and sanitizing. And trust Boos Bug Stoppers to be aware of the changing conditions and regulations as this situation evolves. Pest control is our only business.
Most of our customers use monthly treatment and when they have us add on our sanitation services. They choose the frequency that they feel most comfortable with. The frequency can be weekly, monthly, or on-demand. No two restaurant businesses are the same. Let Boo’s Bug Stoppers send one of our expert staff members to your business to develop a customized plan.

Hospitality Pest Control
Hospitality pest control is tough even in the best of times. Throw COVID-19 into the mix and now you have even more reason to look carefully at how you treat your facility. This is true for bed and breakfasts, Air BnB, hotels, motels, and any other facility that rents sleeping accommodations to the public. Being in the hospitality industry means making people feel at home away from home. However, there are some factors that contribute to losing business. Pests are one of them. From bed bugs in guest rooms to rodents on your property or fruit flies in your dining room, even one pest can ruin your reputation.
Healthcare Pest Control
For healthcare pest control at Boo’s Bug Stoppers, we provide an integrated pest management approach tailored to your specific needs. Pest control companies have been responsible for treating Flu, MRSA, bacteria, and virus outbreaks in schools, hospitals, and businesses. At Boo’s we treat nursing homes as part of our regular pest control and disinfecting services.
Health care pest control components
Pest control and disinfecting services are being performed by us as a combined service plan based on a customer’s needs. Like any business treated by Boo’s Bug Stoppers, we visit your facility to determine with you the exact approach needed for your business. We only use CDC-approved disinfectants so your patients are protected. Our service plan for you is going to vary based on the environment that you are located in as well as the building itself and the patient census. We treat rodent infestations, bed bugs, bees, ants, and any other type of pest that you might find in your facility. We work with our clients to build a plan that meets our needs and your budget for healthcare pest control. Most of our customers prefer a regular monthly service plan.
COVID-19 Prevention
Disinfecting and sanitizing agents are classified by the EPA as pesticides and that is one of the reasons that we offer COVID treatment as part of our general offering. The world has changed with the spread of COVID and nowhere as much as in nursing homes and healthcare facilities. Our customer’s staff does the routine job of cleaning surfaces between patients. We provide the deep sanitizing and disinfecting of all surfaces in your facility. This includes the treatment of storage areas so that we help prevent the spread of diseases other than just COVID. We are following all CDC and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania guidelines and standards. This helps your customers to feel more secure.

Josh is the founder of Boo’s Bug Stoppers, LLC. After graduating from Robert Morris University in 2004 with a Degree in Accounting, Josh began his professional career working with Deloitte & Touche, LLP in Pittsburgh, PA as an auditor. While he gained valuable accounting and business experience there, he found himself aspiring to go into business on his own.
In the Fall of 2005, Josh took the Controller position with W.D. Wright Contracting, Inc., where again he gained valuable accounting and business experience, working hand in hand with the company’s Executive Officers. While working at W.D. Wright Contracting, Inc., Josh found himself with the opportunity to start his side business.
After lots of research and guidance from a family friend mentor who was retired from the pest control industry, Josh obtained his pesticide applicators license through the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture’s Penn State program and opened Boo’s Bug Stoppers, LLC in 2006.
Josh began to build Boo’s Bug Stoppers from the ground up based off of one simple rule…The Golden Rule. He wanted to make sure every effort was made to “treat people right.” With The Golden Rule as the cornerstone of his business, Boo’s Bug Stoppers, LLC continued to steadily grow, and in 2010, Boo’s Bug Stoppers had transformed from a side business to a full time operation.
Today, Josh continues to be heavily involved in all aspects of Boo’s Bug Stoppers and is excited to tackle all the challenges that tomorrow has to bring.
When Josh is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, and is an active member at North Sewickley Presbyterian Church.
